Common questions

Yes. The 4", 8", and 12" options describe the width of each shelf, not a size limit — a full-size 104-key board sits comfortably on a 4" stand, it just overhangs the edges slightly. Pick a wider shelf if you move the stand around a lot or want more surface contact.
Between 2 and 8, depending on the style and tier count you choose. Flat and Curved start at 2 to 3 boards, Classic holds 3 to 5, and Butterfly holds 4 to 8. Every shelf is rated for up to 10 pounds, so heavy aluminium and brass builds are fine.
